Terms of Service

  1. Agreement and accounts. By using Lanes you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. API keys are secrets; you are responsible for all use under your keys.
  2. Service. Lanes provides an OpenAI-compatible API to third-party open-weight AI models through a realtime lane and a batch lane. The batch lane targets completion within 12 hours. Per-key and per-tenant rate limits apply. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no uptime, latency or completion guarantee.
  3. Credits and billing. The service is prepaid. Usage is charged for the actual input and output tokens, separately, at the catalogue prices fixed when the request is submitted; batch jobs are charged at the lower batch prices on the tokens actually generated. If Lanes' own infrastructure fails a job, its reservation is released and nothing is charged for that job. Credit purchases are processed by our merchant of record, which handles payment, tax and chargebacks. A chargeback or payment dispute suspends the account until it is resolved.
  4. Your data. You must have the rights needed to submit your data and you grant Lanes the right to process it as needed to provide the service. Prompts and outputs are processed to serve your requests and are not used to train models. Batch results are stored so you can retrieve them, for a limited retention period.
  5. Models and outputs. The models are third-party open weights under their own licenses; you must comply with the licenses that apply to the models you use. Outputs, including safety classifications, may be inaccurate; you are responsible for evaluating them before relying on them.
  6. Suspension and termination. Lanes may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use rules, for a risk to the security or operation of the service, or where the law requires it.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Lanes to:

  1. break the law, commit fraud, harass or defame others, or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or process data you have no right to process;
  2. create or distribute child sexual abuse material, content that sexualizes minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery;
  3. create or distribute malware, attack or disrupt any system (including Lanes), or bypass authentication, billing, rate limits or safety and security controls.
